Flavour ensures great taste
Flavour and aroma additives ensure great taste, and should always match what the consumer expects and wants from the end product. With the right flavour and aroma additives, the natural aroma and flavour qualities of the end product can be enhanced, making the experience even more flavourful.
Consumer tastes can be a matter of geography and culture, and with flavours, it is possible to precisely bring out the most preferred flavors in the end product.
Flavours can be derived from natural ingredients or synthetically produced. There is always a variant that suits the end product. The different variant shades offer many possibilities during the development of new products and make it possible to choose a flavour that meets the desired declaration.
Depending on the application in which the flavouring is to be used, flavours can be delivered as liquid, oil- and water-soluble or as a powder.
Handpick from the range or help develop your own flavour
Flavours help bring out the best in the end product. The standard range contains around 500 flavours for sweet and savoury foods, while there are 170 flavours, distillates and extracts in the beverage and brewing range. Flavours from the standard range can be ordered in smaller order quantities.
It is also possible to develop a unique flavour for your end product. In this case, we start a project across the supply chain where we jointly develop and design a solution for your needs and application. Customised solutions have special requirements for volume and call offs.
Flavourings for a great scent
The aroma reaches the nose the moment the package is opened, and the joy of anticipation builds. Aromas are picked up by receptors in the nose long before the first bite is taken, promising an intense taste experience. The actual taste is sensed by receptors on the tongue, which can register five basic tastes: sour, salt, sweet, bitter and umami. Together with texture and consistency, they form a positive overall impression of what is being eaten.
All three elements: aroma, taste and mouth feel are vital for a successful product. We work closely with our customers to develop products that not only taste great, but also have an appetising aroma and consistency.

Flavours: Declaration and use
Flavours are covered by EU regulation no. 1334/2008, which provides clear guidelines for the use of flavours. Each flavour is given a legal status that shows how it should be declared according to its origin.
