Skimmed milk powder is milk powder with a maximum fat content of 1.5%, made from fresh pasteurised skimmed milk. Skimmed milk powder is achieved through a drying process that ensures the natural properties of the milk. Skimmed milk powder is available also as an agglomerate “instant” powder for use when easy dissolution is required. This process yields a free-flowing powder that minimises dust generation and is without clumps.
Skimmed milk powder is used mostly in products based on reconstituted milk, including yogurt, ice cream, chocolate, confections, and baby food.
