Tartaric acid E 334

E 334 is naturally present in a variety of fruits.

Tartaric acid is used as an acidity regulator and also enhances the effect of antioxidants, preventing oils from becoming rancid and peeled fruits and vegetables from going brown.

Tartaric acid has a preservative effect, and the tartaric acid, together with sugar, can help the jam to gel. However, tartaric acid can not replace the use of Atamon. 

The product is used in the bakery, brewery and fruit and vegetable industries.
