Pink Cheese Wax against cancer

A different scene met the motorists on the stretch between Broby and Kristianstad in Sweden on Saturday, August 29. A large motorcycle parade dressed in pink captured the road to draw attention to and raise money for the fight against cancer. Procudan sponsored pink cheese Wax and account manager Gunilla Linderoth herself drove in the procession.

– It is the fourth year we are driving and this year, we reached 243 participants, says Gunilla Linderoth. The day started with lottery at Tydinge MC Cafe and then we drove together to Kristianstad, Sweden, where we went around with collecting boxes. In total, we collected almost 100,000 kroner, which is donated to the Breast Cancer Association Victoria Östra Skåne and the rehabilitation home Lydiagården in Höör, says Gunilla Linderoth.

It is twelve years since the project’s initiator, Tuttan Erlvik, was diagnosed with breast cancer. She is well today, but started after her illness to drive motorcycle. Thus came the idea to combine the interest in motorcycles with a collection for cancer.

Along with Smålands Ost in Vrigstad, Sweden, and the store Ohlssons Ost & Delikatesser in Kristianstad, Procudan supported the event. In collaboration, Procudan produced 100 pink cheeses, which were snapped up in no time.
