The gains of owning the supply
Management responsibility in a new reality
Market disruptions are no longer the exception. They have become the norm. This does not change responsibility, but it does change the framework for how it is best exercised.
Today, security of supply is closely linked to business-critical objectives such as delivery reliability, customer experience and operational reliability. When raw materials and ingredients are affected by global conditions, it is not only a question of being able to deliver, but also of maintaining position, trust and achieving a competitive advantage in the market.
When the essential is worthy of a head start
All portfolios contain both critical and less critical ingredients. Both types require proactive management – but in different ways.
The most strategic and business-critical ingredients are often managed close to the business because they are crucial to operations. In some cases, this is done through direct purchasing, while in others it requires a partner solution – for example, if availability is limited or only small quantities are needed.
For other ingredients, it can be advantageous to have a partner who can provide alternatives and contingency plans where challenges may also arise, but where it does not necessarily make sense to have the same internal control.
In this case, there is not necessarily a need for more suppliers, but rather for access to relevant alternatives – and to be able to act in a timely manner if the need arises. This is precisely where joint collaboration creates value.
- We are constantly developing both our product range and supplier network to ensure that our customers always have the best options. A strong and dynamic network is the foundation of security of supply – and it enables us to offer relevant alternatives, also when the market changes.

A collaboration with more options
We always see collaboration as an addition to your strengths. We offer solutions that fit your strategy and structure – and strengthen your ability to act quickly and confidently.
With access to a broad network of suppliers, we offer, among other things:
- alternative ingredients
- contingency on selected critical products
- the role of second supplier, where relevant and strategically based.
Everything is based on a single relationship with us to maintain your overview.
When collaboration becomes a strategic advantage
Toms Gruppen consolidated over 50 ingredients through a single collaboration to create an overview and reduce complexity. At Scandinavian Tobacco Group, the collaboration was expanded to include sparring and process optimisation.
Common to both is that stability and decisiveness were strengthened without increasing the number of suppliers.

Good questions come before good solutions
A strategic focus on security of supply often starts with simple but important questions:
- Which products can we not afford to do without?
- Where in the supply chain are we most vulnerable?
- Are we ready if we need to act quickly?
These are questions that we translate into concrete solutions and collaboration models without disrupting what already works.
Partnership begins with trust
We collaborate with companies that prioritise quality, responsibility and progress. We contribute with guidance, structure and solutions – always with respect for your existing setup.
If you want to strengthen your supply security for selected ingredients without increasing complexity, we would be happy to discuss the possibilities in confidence.
